Our client, a leader in the Social Networking and Media industry is seeking an experienced data analyst to support their team. The data analyst will be responsible for building, reporting and dashboards, and act as a knowledgeable liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. This role entails using SQL to pull queries from our internal database, helping internal stakeholders understand how to use and interpret data from internal dashboards, confirming that data requests comply with our data policy, and responding to and aggregating data requests into common use cases so that the team can understand which new pipelines or metrics are needed. RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Run SQL queries, data extract and automation opportunities for project team to improve efficiency. Assist in solution testing, debugging and documentation and system issue support.
  • Experience working with SQL and statistics packages such as Python
  • use scripting languages to streamline analytical processes
  • Demonstrated proficiency with relational databases. Experience with SQL Server databases and SQL scripting is an asset
  • exercising best practices in developing and landing Python code and python-based data pipelines
  • Collect, analyze, and report data to meet customer needs as well as provide analytical support to ad-hoc cross-functional projects.
  • Monitor and analyze Department operational performance on a regular basis. Report findings and opportunities for improvements
  • Participate in meetings and work on projects as assigned
  • Work with Quality leadership to prioritize information/reporting needs to support business objectives
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of SQL/Mysql
  • Experience with object-oriented programming and scripting tools such as Python, Java/Javascript, C/C++ and Linux
  • Strong analytical, creative and problem-solving skills
  • Minimum BA/BS in a technical field (STEM) or applicable experience in a similar field
