Position: Customer Service Representative (Asst. Case Manager) 
Schedule: 8am - 5pm; 40 hrs/wk
Contract: 11 month duration (potential for extension) 
Pay: $19/hr

POSITION SUMMARY
Individual Life and Annuity Division New Business partners with our field force to issue individual life insurance policies. We work with several computer programs to coordinate the business process from receiving applications to issuing the policy. We work closely with a variety of internal teams who evaluate each application. This is a great opportunity to learn more about one of the core business areas in the Company!
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage applications in compliance with state regulations. This includes accurately entering application data and clarifying or obtaining additional information as needed
  • Independently and efficiently prioritize work tasks to meet daily production goals and customer needs
  • Complete required training, and successfully implement new workflows with a high rate of accuracy
  • Evaluate and communicate individual workload. Participate in a strong teamwork environment that frequently requires shifting workload between team members in order to meet daily deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and handle a large volume of diverse service requests
  • Excellent attention to detail, thoroughly and accurately completing work to meet established deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills to meet the needs of internal and external customers
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to apply strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet service goals
  • Ability to effectively handle premium calculations
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new products and procedures and apply this knowledge in a changing environment
