Tailored Management is seeking a Data Analyst III to work onsite at our client's Menlo Park campus on a contract basis. This role is part of Marketing Decision Sciences team, which supports and enables the Marketing team to build brand presence, improving user sentiment of the company's brand. We're looking for an analytical, and detail-oriented Marketing Data Analyst who can help support this mission.

Responsibilities:
  • Will need to understand Client's App Users, Usage and their perception, by building hypothesis-driven experiments and providing data-based evidence to back up your viewpoints.
  • Should have an interest in performance marketing, an insatiable curiosity, be data-driven, quantitative, and have strong SQL (or similar query tools) and dashboarding skills .
  • Balancing time between ad-hoc requests and your long-term projects is a must as your day-to-day activities in this role.
  • Working with marketing partners to translate their objectives into measurable metrics, identifying target consumer populations, working with research teams to launch brand sentiment surveys, setting goals, measuring campaigns on the Client's digital platform, and measuring marketing effectiveness via experimental design and finally communicating your results to your cross-functional partners.
  • Utilize client's big-data platforms to query, engineer data pipelines, visualize data, perform advanced analytics. Impact will be measured by timely support of critical campaign launches and the measurement of campaign performance.
  • Learn and use advanced analytical tools, sophisticated analytical methods such as A/B tests, quantitative survey analysis, causal analysis, time-series forecasting etc.

Skills:
  • Must have Strong experience (5+ years) in SQL (or Hive, Presto, or other query languages)
  • Experience with ETL data pipelines, relational data modeling.
  • Experience finding, cleaning, and manipulating data to build scalable data sets for multiple / repeated use cases.
  • Experience with any scripting/templating language (ex. Python, R, JavaScript, or Jinja)
  • Demonstrated experience in summarizing data and help visualize the trends and insights in dashboards.
  • Expertise in Excel and Tableau (or other visualization tools)
  • Demonstrated experience analytical problem solving and providing business insights and recommendations from data
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive projects to their conclusion in a cross-functional environment

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS or graduate degree in a quantitative field (Sciences, Economics, Statistics or Engineering, Operations Research, Social Sciences. )
  • Experience with working in Marketing Analytics function.
  • Familiarity with applied statistical concepts, experimental designs would be a plus.
