  • To this end, the successful candidate will use a variety of genetic, biochemical, and cell biological techniques for target identification and pursuit of underlying mechanisms.
  • The candidate is expected to independently design, execute, and analyze experiments.
  • Responsibilities include: conducting experiments to elucidate the mechanistic biology of candidate target, generating relevant engineered cell models, and performing a variety of growth assays upon chemical or genetic perturbation.
  • The candidate will have the opportunity to conduct detailed data analyses and will present these data in relevant forums.
  • Biochemistry skills, such as western blotting and qPCR
  • Experience in colony formation assays and cell viability assays
  • Experience in target knockdown experiments using siRNA, shRNA, or CRISPR
  • Experience in generating stable cell lines
  • Experience in microscopy and live imaging such as incucyte is a plus
  • The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and a pro-active attitude. Outstanding written and oral communication skills are essential. Attention to detail and enthusiasm for implementing basic science knowledge to inform drug discovery efforts are a must.
  • Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree or BS/MS degree with 5 years experience in one of the following disciplines: Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, or a related field.
  • Candidate must have experience with mammalian cell biology and cell culture, western blotting, qPCR, siRNA, shRNA, and CRISPR technology.
