 currently seeking a Business Analyst Sr.
TOP 3 SKILLS:
1.            Have a basic understanding of the health care industry, preferably with Provider Search, Transparency, and benefits design
2.            Ability to understand data models and perform data analysis
3.            Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•             Responsible to gather and develop business requirements for Member Out of Pocket (MOP) capability
•             Support activities such as testing, business readiness, and ongoing operational support
•             Support other BCBSM projects related to cost / benefit information
•             Serve as liaison to various internal (IT, Benefits team, Product, Customer Service, Group Sales, etc.) and external (BCBSA, third party vendor, etc.) stakeholders
•             Lead teams and internal / external business stakeholders through the elaboration, review and approval processes.
•             With general guidance and coaching, provides analytical support to a specific group of customers on business applications, infrastructure and technology related activities.
•             Acts as a project team member, specifically on requirements definition and testing activities.
•             Provides guidance, assistance, coordination and follow-up on complex problems and ensures resolution.
•             Assists customers on their migration to new or revised products, applications and platforms.
•             Works with application developers and operations personnel to support production applications and customer-specific operations.
•             Significant creativity is required.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
•             Have a basic understanding of the health care industry, preferably with Provider Search, Transparency, and benefits design
•             In depth knowledge of business analysis related to developing and maintaining IT / business solutions
•             Ability to lead, direct, and work with cross functional teams
•             Ability to understand data models and perform data analysis.  Need to be able to "connect the dots” for data while working across various data sources to validate accuracy as well as recognize issues.
•             Ability to create governance materials and presentations for the business solutions
•             Ability to perform testing to confirm business requirements
•             Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•             Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
•             Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 
 
EDUCATION:
•             Senior - Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
