We are hiring Operating Procedure and Training Developers to support projects with KBR in Houston, TX.

 

Operating Discipline Developer Technicians

Position Description

         Experienced technical person in plan and process technology needed to develop operating procedures and related materials for new facilities.  

 

Minimum Requirements

         Technical Degree, Vocational College or Apprenticeship in petrochemical plant operations, or significant experience in plant operations.

         Significant experience in petrochemical plant operations including EH&S, plant startup and shutdown, plant troubleshooting, emergency response, employee training, policy and procedure use. 

         Preferred experience in a large integrated petrochemical site.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

         Develop plant procedures, policies, and other operating discipline for new facilities following procedure templates and guidelines.

         Incorporate EH&S into all aspects of operating discipline development and delivery demonstrating knowledge and importance of EH&S in plant operations.

         Work closely with technology experienced plant engineers and technicians to develop, format, and deliver plant operating discipline on schedule.

         Coordinate reviews of preliminary and final versions of all Operating discipline materials to ensure technical accuracy

         Ensure quality of operating discipline deliverables meets Customer expectations.

         Ensure operating discipline documents are appropriately linked and referenced to form a cohesive and logical set of documents where related materials exist.

                                  

Training Developer

Position Description     

         Experienced technical person needed to develop petrochemical plant operations training materials and deliver training and testing to operators, engineers, and others.   

 

Minimum Requirements

         Technical Degree, Vocational College or Apprenticeship in petrochemical plant operations, or significant experience in plant operations.

         Significant experience in developing and/or delivering training materials for petrochemical plant operations preferably in a large integrated petrochemical site.  

         Preferred experience in EH&S, plant operations, basic process control, clearing of equipment and preparation for maintenance, plant troubleshooting, and use of management systems and procedures for commissioning, start-up, and normal daily operations. 

Duties & Responsibilities

         Develop training and testing materials for plant commissioning and startup, normal and abnormal operations, startup and shutdown, clearing of equipment, and emergency response,

         Conduct classroom testing and hands-on field skills demonstration of operators, technicians, engineers, and others.

         Incorporate EH&S into all aspects of training development and delivery to demonstrate knowledge and importance of EH&S leadership at all levels.

         Actively participates in the definition of the job activities for plant operations roles.

         Provide input for the Operator certification process.

         Work closely with EPC and Construction contractor to guarantee the quality of the training material provided by them.

         Work closely with technology experienced plant engineers and technicians in order to develop training materials on schedule.
