Senior Financial Analyst

Duties: Key Operational Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and reviews operational business case justification including financial and strategic rationale
  • Creates and builds-upon KPI metrics leveraging/collaborating with the data analytics team in Qlik
  • Partners with Product VPs to push change and process improvements throughout the organization
  • Leads operational projects/upgrades for US IFTS including but not limited to operation, financial system, etc. while playing a key part in testing


Key Financial Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Partners with business unit leader and/or senior management to analyze and provide operational and financial guidance. Proposes solutions on operational efficiencies and effectiveness while also evaluating potential cost savings or actions to mitigate business trends
  • Performs variance analysis proactively throughout the month and after results are final to inform senior leadership of key drivers
  • Leads forecasting and budgeting process for US IFTS business units
  • Prepares and distributes financial reporting packages to assigned business unit leader(s) and senior management in a timely manner. Ensures compliance with company guidelines and financial reporting requirements.
  • Collaborates with U.S. & Canada IFTS SFAs to ensure consistent financial reporting and analysis
  • Prepares ad-hoc reports and analysis, when requested

  • Strong understanding and experience performing financial, forecasting, budgeting, and operational analysis.
  • Experience in performing financial modeling.
  • Ability to clearly understand the business objectives and link the financial results/data to operational performance drivers.
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively and systematically along with strong critical thinking, and problem solving.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, organize and report information
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a very fast paced work environment and reprioritize tasks when necessary.
  • Ability to take delegation from a finance manager and 3 other SFAs at the organization.
  • Team player with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Possess a strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical background, working directly with modeling transactional data a plus.
  • Strong MS Excel experience required – vlookups, IF stmts, sumifs, etc.
  • Strong MS Powerpoint experience a plus
  • Hyperion – HFM, Plan and Essbase experience required
  • Strong systems skills with preference toward SQL, Hue, Qlik a plus
Education: Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA in Finance preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an analyst role, preferably with Senior Financial Analyst experience
  • Experience forecasting/budgeting with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data at a macro and micro level
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to think three steps ahead
  • Ability to work independently with business leaders without much supervision
  • Ability to take initiative and constructively challenge the status quo to improve processes
  • Experience working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and prioritizing various deliverables
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and audit standards
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel & Powerpoint; Hyperion and SQL experience strongly preferred; Qlik experience a plus
  • Previous experience working directly with operations is a plus
