Network Engineer - Columbus

 Position Summary:
Responsible for the engineering, build, installation / configuration, operation, and maintenance of network and related monitoring systems to ensure stability, reliability and acceptable performance. Provides functional and empirical analysis related to the planning, design, installation, and implementation of the network infrastructure. Assist network team with plans and develops the detailed engineering, design and implementation network environment. Schedule and perform upgrades of network systems hardware and support systems in accordance with ITIL best practices. Responsible for network systems projects that range from medium to large in scope, risk and impact. Leads and facilitates strategic projects involved in evaluating and researching new and existing products, procedures and/or workflows needs associated with network systems.
Education and experience:
•             Degree in Computer Science or related field desired, and 5 years of network experience,
and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•             Cisco Certifications a plus.
•             Must have strong Cisco Router and Switch Experience. Must be experienced with TCP/IP,
•             Knowledge and practical application of routing protocols;
•             Wireless RF knowledge and experience.
•             Familiarity with security systems.
•             Familiarity with firewall technologies;
•             Knowledge and use of 802.11;
•             Knowledge and practical application of Layer 2-4 networking standards;
•             Familiarity with ITIL best practice guidelines desired.
