 IP Network Feature Request Coordinator
 
POSITION SUMMARY: 
 
This position is for a coordinator of firewall and network feature requests: quality assurance of request content, advising request submitters on content, identifying priority order of outstanding and new requests.
 
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   The Request Coordinator will:
 
- Advise software development team members who need to submit firewall rule, network load balancer/traffic manager, VIP/VLAN, and Proxy requests- reviewing requirements and providing guidance for request contents.
- Perform quality assurance review so that requests are correct and complete when they are evaluated by firewall and/or network engineers. 
- Evaluate request impact on project schedule, prioritize in context of other requests' business impact.
- Track and report on outstanding request queues.
- Communicate with project managers, project owners, and functional managers regarding request priority and changes to outstanding request lists.


Required Knowledge:
Understanding of:  
- IP V4 network concepts and attributes  
- Network firewall rule concepts and attributes  
- Network routing and load balancer/traffic manager concepts and attributes  
- VPNs: public and internet tunnel  
- Two-factor authentication and certificate management  
  - Address and port translation  
  - General MS-Office & Visio use in a Windows OS environment

  1. Experience troubleshooting network connectivity
