Education 3DP Equipment Engineers are generally experienced individuals, who hold an Engineering or Science Degree and have 3-5 years' experience in some of the following areas: Electro-Mechanical Skills • Working knowledge on the general and technical aspects of high-end digital equipment operation; • Mechanically skilled in disassembling and assembling of machinery, including troubleshooting and components replacement; • Electrical expertise in high-voltage electrical safety procedures as pertaining to machinery. Experience and ability to determine the voltage of exposed energized parts and identification of hazards; • Proficient in Electronics, including reading wiring schematics and component level PCB troubleshooting, • Proficient at following and creating documentation of electrical, mechanical, software, maintenance and repair procedures. Manufacturing Technologies and Processes Skills • Experience servicing industrial equipment; • Basic experience in 3D CAD software as a regular user – open drawings, export STL files, print. As a plus, some experience in 3D CAD Design, CAM and/or PLM software as a regular user; • Knowledgeable in Additive Manufacturing techniques and technologies such as FDM, SLS, SLA; • Some experience in pre-processing 3D STL files with specialized software such as Materialize or Autocad products is a plus; • Knowledgeable with manufacturing materials such as thermoplastics, photopolymers, metal and ceramic powders; IT Skills • Experienced in Operating Systems management, maintenance of user access, control management, security administration, software installation, on Microsoft Windows systems; • Experienced in supporting and/or managing enterprise network hardware such as switches, hubs, network-attached devices, TCP/IP and Ethernet networking configuration and troubleshooting. Soft Skills 3DP Equipment Engineers demonstrate the technical competencies above in a high-performance environment, including: • Customer facing experience including the ability to train machine operators or groups; • Good communication skills; • Design of Experiments and ability to apply statistics using statistical software • Experience writing technical reports; • Flexible, initiative, with the ability to multitask, • Able to work independently or in a team, • Meet timeline with full commitment to quality and safety. Henkel 3DP Equipment Engineers are experts at the operation and troubleshooting of Henkel 3DP Equipment. They work directly with customers and internal Henkel groups to keep their 3D printing operations up and running at peak efficiency. While troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving 3D printing equipment issues, 3DP Equipment Engineers install new systems/hardware, perform software and firmware updates, transfer technical knowledge to end users and escalate unresolved issues as needed. A 3DP Equipment Engineer is a customer trusted person who drives an important segment of the technical interactions and builds a long-term relationship with the customer operations team. The role also supports Research and Development teams by providing laboratory based support as an 'expert-user' of various 3D printing platforms – maintaining and operating printers to help define optimum settings for new materials. They also work closely with Equipment Product Development to define new product profiles and validate new equipment designs.
