Benefits Coordinator

Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
Provide benefits support for assigned client business groups. Serve as the primary contact for leave of absence administration and Health and Welfare issues.

Responsibilities:
• Assists in the administration of various employee benefit plans such as life, health, dental, and disability insurances, retirement plans, and leave of absence.
• Assists in preparing materials and in presenting benefit plans and plan changes to employees.
• Processes leave of absence requests, counsels employees on DCL policy.
• Regularly interfaces with disability vendor to ensure accuracy of leave cases.
• Serves as a consultant to employees, Human Resources representatives, and plan participants seeking information and guidance concerning benefit plans and leave administration including accommodations cases.
• Ensures the proper administration and record keeping activities for all leave of absences and accommodation cases. .
• Conducts new employee orientations; provides technical guidance and support to all levels of personnel.
• Assists Manager of Benefits with open enrollment for all benefit programs.
• Implements changes in administrative procedures for compliance with Federal regulations.
• Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
