Technical skills (key tools: eQUEST, Energy-Pro, eCAM, DEER, READi, etc)
Energy/Energy Efficiency background (designing lighting/HVAC systems, working with the client with its programs, experience with Energy Efficiency in the Institutional sector a plus)
Communication skills (phone interview/ in person interviews will help with this – this role will interact with several partner teams and this candidate needs to be able to work with several partners, project manage several projects at a time, and collaborate with internal partners)

Minimum Qualifications
BS Engineering Degree, Mechanical or Electrical preferred. 2 years of related experience Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license General knowledge of end use technology (lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, motors, pumps, compressors and commercial, industrial and agricultural processes). Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint
Valid CA Driver's License

Desired Qualifications
Experience and proficiency in project management: manage multiple priorities and projects to completion such as energy efficiency projects
Experience with Measurement and Verification techniques
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Strong written and verbal communication skills
Utility industry experience

This position will be responsible for providing technical support to the Business Energy Solutions (BES) organization for customer specific needs and to further the energy efficiency opportunities at customer facilities. This individual will be working with commercial and high tech customers to develop energy savings calculations, perform energy audit, and present reports to customers. Additionally, they will interact with Product Development and other departments, vendors, industry groups and others to deepen knowledge and understanding of technical solutions, options, practices and processes. The position is located in San Jose, California.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT: • Complete customer site visits by performing energy audits of facilities to identify opportunities for the customer to reduce electrical and gas consumption • Evaluate energy efficiency options for customer specific needs and determine the appropriate channel (rebates, CORE, 3rd Party, Direct Install, etc.) to utilize • Provide technical calculations to estimate and confirm customer baselines, potential energy savings and address other impacts that could affect customer projects • Determine the appropriate calculation method to most effectively quantify potential energy savings based on; project complexity, business impact, and uncertainty of calculation inputs

BUSINESS/PRODUCT/PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT: • Use technical knowledge and expertise to proactively identify future EE market opportunities • Build relationships with customers and facility contacts to assist in market transformation efforts, field perspective and identification of process or program gaps • Assist products and programs departments in the development of additional portfolio opportunities

PROJECT MANAGEMENT: • Manage identified EE projects from development through implementation and payment. Requires updating of project status and interacting with BES members in Salesforce/Energy Insight tool, and communicating with all parties involved with project lifecycle

TECHNICAL TRAINING: • Provide technical and policy trainings to the sales organization (BES) • Respond to sales team questions from the field with regard to products, programs, applications or processes where coordination with other departments as needed
