Hardware Test & Sustaining Engineer

Allstates Consulting Services is seeking a Hardware Test & Sustaining Engineer to support a multi-disciplinary engineering team resolving issues with production released products and responding to customer quick turn requests. This individual will have responsibility for engineering support of all production released systems and board level products. The role will require versatility to operate within multiple engineering disciplines (HW,SW and ME). As a Hardware Test & Sustaining Engineer you will be expected to lead root cause and corrective action analyses, as well as board design reviews and to present these in concise and informative presentations. You will be expected to effectively communicate technical issue in formal presentations to business leadership and our customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% as required.
  • US Citizen.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited university or college, or 6+ years of related experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Knowledge of PCI, PCIe, cPCI, VME, and VPX standards (VITA 46 and VITA 65).
  • Knowledge of PI/SI analysis.
  • Design validations using Spice models.
  • Support interfacing disciplines such as mechanical, software, test, customer support, and product management.
  • Provide Engineering Support services to Customers and internal departments. (Sales, Tech Support, Manufacturing, Quality, NPI, )
  • Designs, develops, debugs, modifies and evaluates Single Board Computer products, Systems and Peripherals for use in mil/aero applications.
  • Determines customer requirements, design approaches and parameters.
  • Reading design specifications and technical drawings.
  • Coordinate/Performs various electrical, mechanical, environmental tests.
  • Construct technical reports for Failure Analysis and Technical communications.
  • May interface with customers to ensure product/component performance to customer specifications and to appropriate standards.
