Fiber Splicer (New Hampshire)

Allstates Consulting Services is looking for Aerial Linemen, Ground men and Fiber Splicers to do aerial fiber installations. We will consider anyone that has experience in fiber, coax or power line installations. We encourage military vetrans with telecom/cable/comms expereince to apply! The work is in the MA, PA markets. We can consider anyone that is willing to drive into those markets each week. Must be willing to work flexiable schedules and possibly be out of town for 1 to 2 weeks if needed, not all work will be close enough for you to travel home each day/week. We are also looking to train entry level Ground men.

Prevailing wage work (dependent on market and work availability),
Hotel is paid for and $30 a day for meals is provided.

Pay range is $17 to $25 depending on Experience. Can be a bit less if you have no relative telecom expereince.

This position is responsible for the performance of various tasks including but not limited to:
 
• Placing aerial coax and fiber cable
• String and maintain wire (Pulling, Fiber Splicing, Clipping, Stranding & Spacing Line)
• Using bucket trucks to Lash and De-Lash Existing & New Cable.
• Install equipment and dress pole to customer specifications using assorted small hand and power tools
 
Position Requirements:
 
• Excellent physical conditioning and stamina. Able to lift 80 lbs.
• Ability to work in a confined space and at high elevations (poles, hydraulic lift buckets, ladders)
• Knowledge of all construction tools and equipment including; bucket trucks, lasher, blocks, pulling grips, stand/cable trailers, cable layers, hoists, bolt cutters, lay-up sticks and hand lines.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to learn and incorporate climbing and general work safety requirements
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out written and verbal instructions
• Basic mechanical abilities with hand tools and simple power tools
• Ability to pass a Pre-employment Drug Screen, Driver and Background check
