Senior Construction Manager - Electrical Storage

Large global energy client seeks a Commercial Construction Manager (heavy on the electrical) to join their team. Can work remotely and travel to sites. Will be CM over the construction of an Energy Storage facility. Correct individual will understand well above average electrical knowledge. Individual will be fully responsible for oversight and management. This includes: project planning, including defining schedule and budgets which meet contract requirements; support of the design process; working with key Project Managers in defining elements of work; provide direction and supervision of all field activities related to the physical construction. Correct person will wear multiple hats. Power Inverter background a huge plus,.. or Bi-Directional. Solar and/or Wind backgrounds can match up nicely. 12+ month contract with more multiple opportunities over time. Top notch global company!
  • Manage the project cycle for commercial project through final commissioning.
  • Support the design process and permit submittal
  • Oversee all teams and installation progress
  • Assist the Project Manager in defining elements of work and development of subcontracts
  • Support the bid process for subcontracted work
  • Manage project budget, cash flow and schedule through the project cycle
  • Manage daily logs and timesheets for project
  • Organize and manage all project data and archive
  • Coordinate the work of subcontractors on site
  • Must maintain required levels of quality and safety
  • BS in architecture, engineering or construction preferred, or equivalent experience (heavy - heavy emphasis on electrical background, knowledge and troubleshooting)
  • Power Inverter background is a VERY strong plus (found via renewable energy construction oversight)
  • A minimum of Ten + years of experience in "leading " the construction of commercial projects (ie; Fossil; Chemical; Renewables,... Grid work/knowledge)
  • In-depth knowledge of construction products, practices, subcontracting and project work flow/sequencing
  • Certified Project Manager (CPM) certification preferred / Including experience on project team and commercial projects
  • Strong with directing crews or tradesmen/ troubleshooting and reaching critical milestones (with a high safety record)
  • Detailed knowledge of construction budgets and schedules
  • KNOWLEDGE of major components preferred (modules, inverters and racking systems, etc) preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
