We are looking for an IT Project Manager who will be responsible for project management, business analysis, and solution delivery for key Information Technology initiatives. The individual in this position will act as liaison between the broader organization, IT management, internal technical teams, and outside vendors. The IT Project Manager will lead efforts for documenting requirements, project planning, IT governance, facilitating design meetings, managing risk, tracking progress, updating status, facilitating resource allocation, coordinating transition to production, and managing project closure. In this capacity, the candidate will be an essential member of the group by matching business and technology goals with system resources to design and implement appropriate solutions. As such, the ability to maintain business level documentation and project plan management for implementation, development, and testing of such initiatives is imperative for the job. The IT Project Manager will apply communication, analytic, and problem-solving skills throughout the project lifecycle to ensure final deliverables meets both IT and business specifications. They should expect to maintain regular status reporting procedures, and adhere to IT operation, documentation, compliance requirements, and established policies and procedures.
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned technology projects in conjunction with the organization's technology and business goals.
  • Interface with Executive Sponsors, Executives, IT Management, and end users to define business, financial, and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and third-parties/vendors for execution of projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Assist in defining scope and objectives for new and requested projects, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Develop and maintain project management deliverables such as project plans, status reports, and risk/issue logs.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Report and escalate to IT management and business/executive sponsors as needed.
  • Effectively manage project risk.
  • Manage project documentation, agreements, and contracts.
  • Develop standards and best practices for use across multiple projects.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive business systems and project management experience.
  • PMP or similar certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is a must have.
  • Understanding of IT systems and processes, including one or more of the following areas: Financial systems, ERP applications, Networking and infrastructure, Cloud services and applications, Web-based development projects.
  • Excellent communication, research, analytic, project management, documentation and grammatical skills.
  • Some night and weekend work (application/system deployment) may be required.
  • Ability to plan and direct a centralized, multi-team effort of IT employees and contractors.
  • Ability handle multiple, concurrent, projects; manage vendors effectively and be responsive to clients in a timely manner
