Windows Server Engineer

The Windows Server Engineer is responsible for executing day to day support activates to ensure service level agreements, project deliverables and customer commitments are being met and executes tasks associated with project delivery including, physical server reviews and configuration changes to Windows 2012 and 2016 servers. The individual in this role will be working on open RISKs, managing a small 30
Server lab including, rebuilding systems and reconfiguring hardware and working with developers to configure systems for their needs. As well as leading small/internal projects and coordinating activities with internal staff external and strategic plans for supporting the company's Windows server environment. In addition to identifying potential areas for improving processes and procedures, server configurations and server images and contribute to the development of maintenance and adherence to system standards, policies, procedures and documentation to support consistency and compliancy requirements for corporate initiatives, operational objectives and service level agreements.

Required skills include:
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT related discipline along with 8+ years of management experience of Windows operational support activities. MCSE Certification is preferred along with:
  • Proficiency with network protocols and infrastructure concepts.
  • Proficiency with network file server hardware (IBM) and Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 2003-2016) and Redhat Linux 7.x
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of contacts including, technical staff and senior management.
  • A strong command of the English language both written and oral.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and work successfully under pressure
  • Analytical thinker with problem strong solving skills
  • The ability to deal with ambiguity and requests for change
