Infrastructure Architect

The Infrastructure Architect we are looking for is a technology generalist, who defines and communicates infrastructure engineering standards/processes, reviews the technical architecture of infrastructure and application projects, and oversees the implementation and delivery of the technical vision.
Duties:
Work as a collaborative team member with existing vendors, managed services partners, and internal teams to design, architect, and deliver projects related to infrastructure architecture. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This position will also participate in the escalation for incident response and root cause analysis processes. Intermittent travel between the offices may be required.
Job Qualifications:
  • A working knowledge of current computer and communications technologies and disciplines, including Cloud, Servers, Storage, Networking, Data Centers, Security, Messaging, and Managed Services.
  • Current and future state knowledge of technologies used in like companies and the IT industry in general.
  • System engineering skills with an emphasis on overall enterprise-scale architecture
  • Cloud integration and strategy experience with an overall understanding of integrating security with cloud design and implementation.
  • Understanding of Cloud, Cybersecurity, High Availability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery concepts as they relate to Open Systems architecture.
  • 10-15 years of relevant and progressive experience in a distributed computing environment is preferred.
Non-Technical Qualification:
  • Consensus builder -- Manages user and executive expectations, understands business to address needs, defined cost impact of requests/services, and defines product & service delivery standards to ensure high-quality client service.
  • Team Building Skills - Must have leadership skills to develop commitment and maintain momentum for geographically dispersed, matrixed team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact and negotiate across all IT functional groups.
