Solution Architect

We are in search of a  Solution Architect to help our client move forward with evolving technologies, techniques, and frameworks creating and delivering cloud solutions for Corporate Security and Resilience (CS&R).
  • Architect, design and document integrated system solutions
  • Ensure detailed designs align with solution architecture
  • Identify risks and provide alternative solution options
  • Act as focal point for any changes to approved designs (solution or component level)
  • Ensure non-functional (solution) requirements are considered (e.g. monitoring)
  • Ensure project plan reflects all required technical tasks related to the domain
  • Presents technology solutions to business partners, technology teams and senior management
  • Provide design process guidance for detailed design teams and review designs to ensure compliance with architecture
  • Review, recommend, and develop analysis and design processes and templates
  • Guide projects through architecture reviews and approval processes (e.g. Architecture Review Board)
  • Define reusable practices and artifacts for strategic technologies
  • Facilitate requirement and design activities as required to guide projects through scoping, analysis, and design
  • Produce  analysis and design work products
  • Review  existing documents and interview subject matter experts to gather information about existing business processes and systems
  • Responsible for identifying and migrating appropriate legacy applications to cloud tools and processes. 
  • Analyze user needs to determine functional requirements and define problems and develop plans and requirements for complex systems related to systems architecture.
  • Compose design documentation, training guides along with integration of third party security products within the current infrastructure.
  • Offer consultative advice in security principles and best practices.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills to contribute towards resolution.
 Technical Leadership & Solution Delivery
  • Experience working with cloud technologies like IDaaS (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, PingOne), Cloud Management Platforms (e.g., ServiceNow), and CASB (e.g., Skyhigh) as well as cloud security management/governance tools
  • Experience integrating and building end to end quality products, enabling business capability and business objectives through technology.
  • Experience designing and implementing information security solutions with a focus on areas such as cloud technologies, cryptography, and enterprise logging and monitoring.
  • Experience working with SailPoint or some other enterprise identity management/governance platform.
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud services (e.g. IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, etc.) offered from public cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
  • Experience with a broad set of information security best practices and technologies (e.g., application security, risk management, data protection, encryption, identity and access management, logging and monitoring, network security, security governance, etc.) within cloud environments
  • Good understanding of IAM and cloud use cases.
  • Knowledge and working experience of  OATH 2.0, SAML 2.0 standards.
  • Previous project experience in implementation project with experience in leading a small to mid-sized team.
  • Experience in providing single sign-on to Cloud based applications.
  • Experience with various network and host-based information security technologies including firewalls, WAFs, intrusion/threat detection/prevention, data loss prevention, anti-malware, file integrity monitoring, etc.
  • Experience with encryption (at-rest, in-transit, in-use) and key management within cloud environments
  • Experience in defending attacks utilizing information security technologies including web application firewalls, anti-DDoS technologies, advanced anti-malware solutions, network forensics, etc.
  • Experience with information security testing methods and technologies including penetration testing, web application security assessments, vulnerability assessments, etc.
  • Understanding of Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) security requirements (e.g., risk assessments, threat modeling, security design reviews, static application security testing, and dynamic application security testing)
  • Understanding of services such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and application containers such as Docker
  • Understanding of incident response processes and artifact collection for digital forensic investigation purposes
  • Understanding of enterprise IT security risk assessments and related frameworks (e.g. SOC2, ISO 270XX, NIST CSF, NIST 800-XX, COBIT, etc.) and industry best practices
  • Understanding of Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) framework, CSA Cloud Control Matrix (CCM), and CSA Consensus Assessments Initiative Questionnaire (CAIQ)
  • Experience performing technical writing of policies, standards, and procedures
  • Should be aware of ITIL support principles of estimation, issue management.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years relevant technology architecture experience
  • Experience defining technology architecture in Financial Services
  • Experience leading virtual teams composed of business and technology resources
  • Ability to communicate with in a clear and precise manner, including the ability to independently and effectively participate in strategic collaborations with other line of business peers
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask effectively and deliver against commitments
  • Proficient written communication skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Experience in using multiple SDLC methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with banking products and operations (Consumer / Retail Banking, Commercial Banking)
  • Experience creating and maintaining architecture perspectives and roadmaps
  • Experience working with the design, integration and/or support of vendor packages within an overall enterprise architecture
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks & industry models (e.g. TOGAF, ITIL, BIAN)
  • Experience working with EA tools, Agile Processes, CI/CD Practices and Tools
