Our Client, a health care organization, is looking for a Senior IT Director to lead and manage the IT team, technical infrastructure and technology operations.  We need a hands-on professional who enjoys rolling up his or her sleeves and working with the team to maintain a high performing and stable technology environment.  The Senior IT Director will participate and execute the IT strategic plan that adheres to the firm's values and goals.  The successful candidate will be extremely knowledgeable about the technology and services supporting the health care and general business information systems.  In this role, you will lead and manage the IT team and Managed Service Providers for infrastructure provisioning, planning, installation, governance, maintenance, security and operation.  The overall role is to enable partners, providers and staff to effectively work and minimize their time spent on IT.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead the development and execution of technology plans which align with the strategic plan
  • Lead and manage the IT staff and Managed Service Providers
  • Ensure service-oriented, high quality IT support and Help Desk services
  • Ensure the stability, performance, continuity, and security of all data and technology services
  • Provide primary support of the technology supporting the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
  • Analyze end user needs to recommend and implement immediate and long-term solutions
  • Evaluate innovative technologies and make recommendations to Senior Management regarding how these can help the company meet its goals
  • Enhance and maintain IT governance, policies and procedures including change management
  • Lead and facilitate IT Steering Committee
  • Collaborate with members of the Leadership Team on key projects and initiatives
  • Collaborate with Health Informatics Team for business intelligence and reporting requirements and overall support of the eClinicalWorks EHR system
  • Interact effectively with colleagues at all levels and departments within the organization
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated skill leading technology teams
  • Ability to manage multiple vendor relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven IT governance expertise
  • Broad technology skills including network, VMware and cloud services
  • Office 365 expertise
  • Azure knowledge is preferred
  • eClinicalWorks or other EHR system knowledge is preferred
