The Sr. Enterprise Architecture brings the best knowledge and expertise available to provide the process, strategy, technology awareness, and engineering expertise to help our client successfully deliver and manage the overall technical infrastructure environment. This individual is a technology generalist who defines and communicates infrastructure engineering standards/processes, reviews the technical architecture of infrastructure and application projects and oversees the implementation and delivery of the technical vision.
                                   
Job Responsibilities
  • Provide thought leadership/direction on end-to-end technical/engineering solutions as related to the infrastructure environment. 
  • Manage priorities and evaluate alternative process/project strategies; present & justify proposals to management & IT leadership.
  • Participate in the preparation of materials and oral presentations for constituents and management. Play a lead role in meetings relating to specific technical projects or tasks.
  • Research, evaluate, and develop a wide variety of complex technology components of a tactical and strategic nature.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors.  Understand and influences vendor strategies and product directions.  Participate in vendor negotiations pertaining to the acquisition of products or services.  
  • Develop and maintain specialized knowledge of current and emerging technologies within assigned function or platform.
  • Develop and recommends innovative solutions to business problems of moderate complexity, including preparation of cost-benefit analyses.
                                   
Job Qualifications
  • A working knowledge of current computer and communications technologies and disciplines, including Cloud, Servers, Storage, Networking, Data Centers, Security, Messaging, and Managed Services.
  • Current and future state knowledge of technologies used in similar size companies, and the IT industry in general. Financial Services ideal.
  • Strong system engineering skills with an emphasis on overall enterprise scale architecture.
  • Strong project delivery skills.  This is not a hands-on position, however, the individual must have been hands-on during their career.
  • Must have work experience in a company larger in size and scope (in terms of the Infrastructure complexity, and specific vendors). 
  • Understanding of Cloud, Cybersecurity, High Availability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery concepts as they relate to Open Systems architecture.
  • 15 years of relevant and progressive experience in a distributed computing environment is preferred.  Must have demonstrated skills in tools and techniques appropriate to the above job duties.

  • Consensus builder -- Manages user and executive expectations, understands our client's business to address needs, defined cost impact of requests/services, and defines product & service delivery standards to ensure high quality client service.
  • Team Building Skills - Must have leadership skills to develop commitment and maintain momentum for geographically dispersed, matrixed team members.
  • Excellent  written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact and negotiate across all IT functional groups.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead using influence and persuasive argument.
  • Willingness to work in an energetic, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively.
  • Ability and willingness to work effectively in a business-critical production environment
