This person MUST have leadership skills. They will have higher level responsibilities working with high level managers to resolve issues. They need to have a larger vision of how the systems work together and, they must see how applications connect, how Harris business uses applications on a functional level and where to go from current situation. MRP and PLM are both important to the operations business for Harris. The best person will be able to grow and understand internal workings of a system, process and the systems working together.
Job Description:
· Performs requirements planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for Engineering and PLM IT software systems solutions.
· Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, test, operation and maintenance.
· Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge scope, schedule and cost constraints.
· Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into software specifications.
Qualifications:
  • Requires a Bachelor degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Systems Engineering.
  • ERP experience and knowledge.
  • Agile PDM
  • Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Experience in PLM knowledge.
  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Systems Analysis - Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
  • Systems Evaluation - Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
  • Judgement and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
  • Operations Analysis - Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design.
  • Proficient communication and organization skills required to interact with internal company contacts and customers.
