Material Handling Maintenance Technician I

The Material Handling Maintenance Technician I will be an entry level position into our facilty maintenance team responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the a GmP pilot plant and associated labs. A successful candidate in this role will accomplish the following: • Complies with all SOPs, regulations, Company directives related to building operations and work safety. Performs assigned routine repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. • Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. • Document all work order activities in CMMS and relevant equipment logs. Assist with electronic scanning of vendor service reports for input to the CMMS. • Escort third party vendors in the gowned grade B spaces for maintenance activities. • Perform rounds and reading for lab gas cylinders and Environmental Management System (EMS). • Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems. Assists with material inventory. • Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems and HVAC/Building Automation System and Environmental Management System. • Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps. • Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Quals--
High school diploma or equivalent Able to work normal 1st shift hours (8 hrs/day). OT availability. On call schedule distributed among staff Previous experience in basic preventive/predictive maintenance & troubleshooting skills and repair methods Previous experience or classwork in Mechanical and/or Electrical basic components Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training in a GmP/clean room environment. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Understands safe use of power tools to include saws and drills Basic understanding of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
