12 month duration with potential for hire IF they have a Bachelor's degree
$37 - $45.50 hr.
Must be willing to work all shifts and on-call

Intake Call Notes:
MUST have a minimum 2 years hands-on Network Eng experience in a medium to large Network space (multi-site, 50 or more switches across their environment)
Experience in a dedicated networking role is a must
NOT a hybrid server/network guy
Keep in mind some companies call server people "network people”
If they have recent Active Directory and Windows Server experience *as well as* Cisco/network/MPLS experience, they're hybrid
Someone that has been doing switch, router, WAN installs and upgrades
Relatively independent in troubleshooting and resolving tickets
MUST have someone who can hit the ground running
Someone they can coach teach and mentor
Good opportunity for someone to learn new things
Someone who is focused on operational work and execution
They will serve as the 1st contact with customers

10-member team from Level 1 to Level 4
Bachelor's is required for anyone that wants an opportunity to convert to FTE status. For contract work with no chance of full-time hire, it's not required
Network+ cert could help sway us on not having 2 years' experience
Cloud computing preferred, not a requirement
1st shift rotating daytime. 1st shift hours 830 – 5; contractors will not be on-call until they are hired as a FTE
24/7 operations
• Able to analyze problems, perform troubleshooting, and respond to incidents.
• Associate or entry level network certification such as CCNA or Network+.
• Process-oriented and able to work as a team.
• Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.
• Solid documentation experience with Visio, Word, and Excel.
• Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance if hired.

Top 3 must haves:
(troubleshooting and support) understanding of WAN, MPLS, QoS, Cisco routing and switching
(troubleshooting and support) understanding of LAN, Ethernet, Wireless networks
2-5 years direct and applicable experience in roles requiring these skills

Job Description

• Knowledge of current industry standards for network solutions including legacy and software-defined.
• Able to employ network protocols to include, but not limited to: spanning-tree, VLAN tagging, HSRP/VRRP, link-aggregation, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
• Understand network constructs such as quality of service, route maps, access control lists, and prefix lists.
• Know network management tools and protocols including simple network management protocol (SNMP), logging/syslog, IP accounting, authentication/authorization/accounting (AAA), IP-flow, and NTP.
• Able to analyze problems, perform troubleshooting, and respond to incidents in accordance with service level agreements (SLA).
• Supports deployments and operations of network related items such as switches, routers, load-balancer, WAN optimizations appliances, wireless access points, wireless controllers, and DNS nodes.
• Monitor the performance and capacity of networks and create utilization reports for decision making when needed.
• Creates and maintaining technical documentation such as topology diagrams and procedures.
• Evaluate products and recommend purchases consistent with the organization's short and long-term objectives.
• Work with project managers and lead engineers to ensure project schedules are being met.
• Coordinate vendor support activities such TAC and RMA.
• Team oriented but must be able to work independently.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including on-call support.
