Position Summary With some guidance and supervision, performs tasks outlined by Process and Development Engineers for product development and existing product improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Works alongside engineering personnel in an effort to understand the pre-production processes used to prepare low volume or pre-production material quantities. 2. Assists the Document Control Coordinator with formal changes to all controlled documents (Procedures, Formulas, Routing, IP Documentation System, etc.) as well as helps with managing/maintaining the ECO System, supports document control process improvement initiatives, provides training as necessary & helps with managing the long-term storage on & off site. 3. Participates with plant engineering functions in the installation of new equipment and/or the modification of existing equipment for running new products. 4. Participates with Process and Development engineering in the specifying and selection of new equipment and/or equipment modifications necessary for supporting new product requirements. This responsibility includes assisting with the preparation of machine specifications and capital justification. 5. Performs tasks as directed by process or development engineering for process improvement and/or development. 6. Assists Process Engineering and/or Operations as required by supervisor by troubleshooting and correcting out-of-control process. 7. The continued growth of the business with new product introductions & improvement initiatives across the organization has increased the total count of ECO requests submitted each week. The additional resource is needed to support ongoing day to day tasks with maintaining the current controlled document system allowing the Document Control Coordinator to focus on systematic solutions needed for improving the ECO SharePoint site & ERP part number setups. 8. Writes timely reports when appropriate including weekly reports. 9. Completes special projects as assigned by supervisor. 10. Participates in outside activities as they relate to professional development. 11. Adheres to safe work practices and the safety policies of the organization. Works to improve the safety of current and new processes under development. 12. Supports the fulfillment of customer orders for product still in development. 13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Skills and Abilities 1. Language o Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. o To write routine reports and correspondence. 2. Mathematical Skills o Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. o To apply concepts of basic algebra & statistics. 3. Reasoning Ability o Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. o To deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 4. Computer Skills o To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheets, databases, and e-mail. Education and/or Experience Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
