SUMMARY: Motion Graphic Designer is a junior position specializing in Social Media & Communications. Will be creating visual assets social teams – from infographics and data visualizations to custom art, animated gifs and motion graphics. Responsible for social media creative process, from conceptualization to storyboard and editing. Will support the social team by creating complex graphics, animation and live video content for a diverse array of media, including smartphones, handheld electronic devices, and the web, among others. Other projects can include title and post-production work, as well as multimedia campaigns, promotional products, and computer artwork for use in a variety of materials. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: · Develop, design, illustrate and animate creative concepts (both motion and still). · Create innovative, compelling motion graphics, .gifs, and videos from still and video assets with expert skill, a sharp design eye, and an ability to wow clients and customers alike. · Work with marketing, education, sales and teams to understand project scope and objectives. · Assist in selecting audio, video, colors, animation, etc for graphic design. · Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics. · Research and analyze best design techniques and solutions to create motion graphics. · Maintain up-to-date knowledge about latest motion design techniques. · Ensure compliance with company guidelines, deadlines and design standards. MAIN DUTIES: include, but are not limited to: · Creates infographics, motion graphics and custom art tailored for mobile and social, with an emphasis on designs that can be repurposed across multiple platforms. · Experts in taking photos and assets and transforming them into eye catching assets that are customized for different social media platforms (from Facebook to Instagram, etc) and developing engaging creatives that encourage shareability and buzz. · Contribute to the company’s visual brand identity through the creation of visual language concepts, mood definition, early design routes and various design materials across different digital media channels · Create graphics (still and motion), templates and other design assets for internal and external use · Collaborate with team members from other departments, be flexible and work organically · Support asset collection or creation to enhance visual deliverables
Minimum Qualifications: The Junior Motion Graphic Designer’s knowledge, skill and abilities should demonstrate the following requirements: · Candidates must have strong Adobe CC skills, ideally be an expert with After Effects, Final Cut and Premiere Pro · Strategic and creative mindset · Passion for visual storytelling with a strong sense of design, typography, illustration · Solid composition, typography, color and 2D Animation · Highly creative, organized and able to work independently with little direction · Strong collaboration and communication skills and able to adapt to changing show styles and schedules · Meticulous attention to detail, resourceful, with a can-do attitude · Team player who thrives within a dynamic, fast-growing company · Social experience with a general understanding of branded social content and analytics · Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team · Minimum 1 years design experience preferred · Manage deadlines and execute projects on-time · Ideally has interest in fashion and beauty Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in media arts, fine arts, computer graphics or similar field. Experience: 1 year of design experience (internships count).
