Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field plus minimum of 6 years industry experience in Configuration Management role.
Job Description:
•Configuration Management - Designs and establishes configuration management documentation. Analyzes proposed product design changes to determine the effect on the overall system. Establishes baselines. Supports program audits
•Complete SW Builds
•Perform scripting (Perl) needed to support existing CM toolset and tool integration
•Performs schema development and maintenance for SWCM toolset
•Perform administration and user support for CM toolset
•Authorizes the release of software builds and changes specified by Program or Engineering.
•Provides advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation.
•Acts as liaison between management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration analysis documentation.
•Performs audits to verify compliance with contract requirements
•Prepare CM Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for task orders and proposals
•Perform as CM lead on various program assignments to include knowledge of Data Management and Hardware CM roles and responsibilities
•Performs audits to verify compliance with contract requirements
•Supports Asset Management tracking to include Customer Furnished Equipment (CFE)
•Perl scripting knowledge
•Bachelor's Degree in related field plus minimum of 6 years industry experience in a Configuration Management role
•Knowledge of Configuration Management Principles as they apply to both Hardware and Software
•Experience in fast paced continuous change integration environment
•Experience in COTS integration environments
•Ability to work as a team member and also by yourself
Preferred Additional Skills:
•Working knowledge of the following tools: Agile PDM, JIRA, SVN, ClearQuest, ClearCase, GIT/STASH
•Proven ability to define and implement Software & Hardware Configuration Management processes in an enterprise environment.
•Self-directed and driven work ethic.
•Familiarity with CMMI Level 3 requirements.
•Familiarity with EIA 649 Standards
•Excellent oral and written communications skills.
•Must be able to present complex material to an audience of various skill levels, from novice to expert.
•Excellent presentation skills and ability to develop effective working relationships with business development, program management personnel and external customers.
