Education and Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum 3 + years of healthcare and implementation / build combined experience  as a Cerner consultant/analyst 
  • College degree or healthcare related field experience preferred
  • Cerner consulting/analyst  experience working in billing office, coding expert, and/or patient account management
  • (OR) 
  • Cerner consulting/analyst experience working in outpatient medical office, HOD, or physician practice responsible for scheduling of patient appointment and management of physician schedules
  • (OR) 
  • Cerner consulting/analyst experience working in central registration area for inpatient and/or outpatient facilities
  • (OR) 
  • Cerner consulting/analyst experience working in OR surgical scheduling office responsible for scheduling and collection of patient data for surgeries
  • Cerner consulting/analyst working in any healthcare related facility
  • Detail oriented
  • Exceptional skills in MS applications and documentation Minimum 3 years’ in a healthcare provider setting
  • Cerner consulting/analyst  with minimum 3 years’ build experience
  • Must have an in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the respective EHR software as a Cerner consultant/analyst 
  • Apply an in-depth understanding of the respective EHR application to perform design, build, and testing activity if applicable
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail to ensure a high level of quality
  • Experience implementing an electronic health record as a Cerner consultant/analyst 
  • Must have current certification(s) within required module(s) as it relates to Cerner consulting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    Display strong situational analysis, problem solving and decision making skills 
    Meet project deliverable/timeframes 
  • Assume leadership on engagements and work without direct supervision, interfacing with customer IT and business-function leaders 
  • Develop and present comprehensive project documentation and results to customers as needed 
  • Provide successful project performance and follow-up 
  • Identify and recommend areas for system improvements 
  • Proactively identify alternate opportunities to provide services and communicate them to Practice leadership 
  • Develop & document consulting methodologies & best practices 
  • Demonstrated presentation/public speaking skills presentations to clients required 
  • Mentor junior consultants within the team in developing stronger consulting skills 
  • Strong eliciting customer requirements, defining limits to project scope, and developing contract documentation preferred 
  • Good management/supervisory preferred 
  • Other responsibilities, as assigned
