Senior Cyber Security Analyst – Network

The Senior Network Security Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert for network security
design, implementation, and threat mitigation. The candidate must have the ability to review network architecture designs and recommend security measures to reduce risk and maintain compliance with information security frameworks. The successful applicant must have a demonstrated ability to apply layered security to the company's network architecture. A deep knowledge of the defense-in-depth technologies required to secure a large scale network infrastructure is necessary to succeed in this role.

Primary Responsibilities
•    Serve as a network security subject matter expert, providing multi-disciplinary knowledge, skills, and experience in network security architecture and management.
•    Provide hands-on knowledge for a wide range of network security technologies including, but not limited to: firewalls, IPS/IDS, NAC, VPN, proxies, routers, and switches.
•    Consult on current and upcoming projects covering all levels of network and IT security architecture.
•    Assist in defining network security requirements and strategies for infrastructure system design, optimization, and solution delivery.

Required Qualification:
•    Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field and minimum 8-10 years network security engineering experience
•    Expert understanding of network topologies and network appliances, e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.
•   Ability to assess network architecture designs independently.
•   Network threat identification and mitigation expertise.
•    Expert level understanding of routers/switches and mainstream protocols such as TCP, HTTP, SSL, FTP and DNS.
•   Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams; excellent communication skills.
•   Professional Security Certifications through DoD, ISC2, ISACA or Comp TIA preferred
•   Must have solid work experience with successful teaming environments.
•   Self-starter with proven initiative and developed listening skills
•    Demonstrate timely task completion involving solid organizational skills, task tracking, follow-up, and productive peer interaction
•   Possess strong technical writing, verbal and presentation skills
•    Demonstrated success leading and conducting senior level security risk analysis--Specifically Threat Modeling involving system decomposition, threat and vulnerability discovery and mitigation
•   Worked with Secure Development Life Cycle

Desired Qualification:
•   Individual contributor-Must perform with limited supervision 
•   Technical writing-comfortable writing reports for senior management
•    8+ years of IT security experience working in an infrastructure or security architecture environment.
•   Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
•   CISSP, CCNA, CCIE or other relevant industry certifications.
•    Cyber security risk management experience, e.g. conducting assessments, identifying risks, and recommending solutions.
•   Expertise with NIST and ISO 27000 series, particularly NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, ISO
