We have an opportunity available for a Firewall Engineer located in either Bethlehem, PA. This position will be focused on delivering in depth knowledge of Firewall migration from Checkpoint to Cisco ASA.  We are looking for someone that understands what is needed to drive all troubleshooting issues with a firewalls being brought into production.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver in depth knowledge of firewall migration from Checkpoint to Cisco ASA.  We are looking for someone that understands what is needed to drive all troubleshooting issues with a firewalls being brought into production.
  • Troubleshoot VPN IPSec tunnels with remote access
  • Take ownership of outage calls and be able to diagnose issues
  • Work through Cloud Security Initiatives primarily using Bluecoat on prem
 
Qualifications:
  • We require an individual that is a self-starter with an outgoing personality and the ability to hit the ground running and add value quickly. 
  • Strong communication is key
  • This person should have a thirst for learning and will take the initiative to ask questions in order to drive results.
  • 5-7 year experience in a Cisco centric environment.
  • Proficient with Cisco ASA
  • 5-7 year working knowledge of Checkpoint Firewalls.  R77.30 on Smart Management Server, and most Security Gateways are on R77.30.  Some are in process to upgrade from R77.20 to R77.30
  • Understanding cloud security initiatives - Bluecoat Cloud Web Security Services
  • Enterprise Threat Management - incident response management through Encrypted Traffic Management Proxy in order to get visibility for encrypted traffic to stop threats with SSL visibility appliance with decrypt traffic
