Summary: 
 
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville is a "home away from home” providing lodging, meals, and transportation for families that need to be near a hospital while their child is receiving medical treatment.  In the past few years, RMH has undergone a period of growth and expansion.  Construction of a 65,000 square feet facility was completed in 2017.  Today, 53 rooms serve over 1,200 families per year.
 
Reporting to the Executive Director of RMHC, the Director of Operations will lead internal operations.  The Director of Operations will be a mission-focused, seasoned, strategic, and process-minded leader with experience scaling an organization, leading a management team, and developing a performance culture among a group of diverse, talented individuals.  Importantly, the successful Director of Operations must be a leader who has demonstrated success in managing an organization, driving a strategic plan, and delivering cost-effective results.

Responsibilities: 
 
Operational Management
  • Lead the overall operation and expansion of two core RMHC programs: 
    • House and Program Operations
    • RMH Family Room at Wolfson Children's Hospital
  • Execute and monitor progress of the strategic five-year plan and implement new processes and approaches to achieve it.
  • Lead the Operational team, including goals development, coaching, performance assessment, and identification and filling of skills and capacity gaps; ensure the RMH is properly staffed.
  • Manage the ongoing operation of the Learning Center and the Health and Wellness Program within RMHC Jacksonville.
  • Responsible for ongoing and consistent communications and meetings with program staff.
  • Coordinate the annual operations plan in accordance with the annual budget.
Human Resources
  • Lead organization's HR programs and policies as they apply to organizational development, employee relations, training, recruiting, compensation, benefits, safety performance and staffing levels.
  • Ensure RMHC standards, policies, and procedures are in compliance with all state, federal and global RMHC regulations.
  • Maintain and update all RMHC policies and procedures manuals on an annual basis.
  • Develop professional development program for all employees.
Technology
  • Maintain organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plan for implementing information technologies.
  • Ensure all websites and IT procedures are confidential and fully compliant with the highest standards for donors, stakeholders, guests, and volunteers.
  • Manage the integration, execution and ongoing success of new Blackbaud CRM system.

Education and Work Experience
  • The successful candidate will have a broad range of management experience in either for-profit or non-profit organizations.  As a prerequisite, the successful candidate must believe in the core values of RMHC and be driven by the mission.
  • Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred.
