Need Surgical Tech/1st Assist (Certified) willing to both tech and 1st Assist with strong Ortho skills. Must have a minimum of 3 years of previous experience working in OR as Surgical Tech and/or 1st Assist with strong Ortho experience required. Position requires 8 or 10 hour day shifts Monday thru Friday to cover department; also call required on a rotating basis to cover evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. 32 hour per week guaranteed but could be more depending on need. Must have current BLS certification.

The Surgery Department at Holy Cross Hospital consists of the following
• Pre Admission Clinic
• Sterile Processing Department
• Endoscopy Suite
• Ambulatory Services Care Unit (ASCU)
• 4 Operating Rooms
• Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Monthly Case Volume: 240-300 cases a month including endoscopy
Scope of Surgical Services:
• Orthopedics- Shoulder, Hip, Knee, Ankle Arthroscopy’s , Total Joint Arthroplasty (shoulder,hip, knee) , Trauma ie/ tibial nails, femoral nails, hemi arthroplastys, ORIF’s
• General Surgery/PAstic surgery- Minor and major abdominal procedures, Breast surgery, Laparoscopic Minimally invasive procedures
• OB/GYN- Total and Laparoscopically assisted Hysterectomy’s, Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic procedures
• Podiatry- Foot and Ankle Procedures
• Urology- Laser prostate procedures, Lithotripsy, Bladder procedures
• Pediatric Dental
• ENT- Sinus procedures and Tonsillectomy’s
Staffing Schedule:
• We offer 8 hour , 9 hour and 10 hour shifts (12 hour shifts possibly available in ASCU/PACU)
• “On Call” requirements that occur on an average of 1day/week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks
