1.General job duties. Types of procedures required.
perform general ultrasound exams: Abdomen, pelvis, thyroid, scrotum, bi-lateral upper and lower extremities (venous & arterial) renal transplant, AV grafts and fistula, vein mapping, 1st trimester OB, Pediatric appendix, plyoric stenosis &
intussusception exams

2.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Client Logic E9, Philips Affinity, Radnet, Powerchart

3.Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Competent in General Ultrasound scanning and excellent patient care skills, prefer 5 yrs. experience.

4.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)

5.Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
Monday-Friday day shift, tentative 8:30-5:00pm, will not work alone, no call required, no weekend required.

6.Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
portable ultrasound exams, possibly scanning in Peds Urology clinic

7.Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.

8.Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)


9.Dress Code:
Navy blue scrubs

10.Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
sonographer would orient on day shift with staff to learn protocols and familiarize them with section, equipment and processes.
