Primarily scrubbing for cases in all surgical services including Level 1 trauma procedures, laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures, total joints and ortho trauma, specialty neuro procedures including craniotomies

Lasers, Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Equipment, Robotics

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations:
BLS, Graduate of accredited surgical technology program

Shift or schedule requirements:
No call/ No holidays, flexible scheduling for various shifts

Possibility of floating:
No- will remain in the OR but may work various shifts to meet staffing needs

Basic Function: The Surgical Technologist is an unlicensed individual who performs routine and delegated duties according to the standards of practice of hospital and unit policies. They function under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. They assist with delegated patient care according to their level of education, training, and demonstrated competency. They serve primarily as a scrub person, assist the Registered Nurse in circulating duties, and perform activities related to sterile processing, material management, and environmental controls. Surgical Technologist work is differentiated by participation in more advanced operative procedures, care and maintenance of specialized equipment and higher responsible levels of activity.
