TECHNICAL LEAD FOR MEDICAL IT
LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ

Project Description:
At least 2+ years in technical management, experience working with vendors and multiple streams, understanding of system architecture and integrations.

Incumbent's main responsibility will be to manage and provide technical oversight of a cross-functional technical team on a major project implementation for the Medical IT team in R&D organization. The position requires management leadership to oversee the technical activities required of each project team and to ensure the technical teams deliver as expected. Candidate will be responsible for the overall technical implementation of applications/systems and will frequently interact with internal and external contacts. In addition, the technical lead will work closely with other members of the group to provide project updates and communicate/escalate issues. The technical lead will liaise with the Project Manager to monitor project status and to report technical implementation status to higher management.
  • Previous experience working on implementation of Adobe AEM or other similar technology preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience implementing projects in R&D Medical IT preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, or a similar tool desired.
  • Manages the implementation and consistent delivery of projects to agreed upon timelines, budgets and expectations of quality.
  • Works with clients, developers and vendors to determine requirements.
  • Collaborates with business change management team or business process activities, training, SOPs etc.
  • Expertise and significant experience in systems development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Expertise and significant experience in Computer System Validation and software validation requirements for regulated systems.
  • Understand software management (including configuration management, data management, network security, IT architecture, infrastructure design, systems integration, and system/application testing approaches).
  • Expertise in managing technical projects and/or software support teams in a matrixed (cross-functional) environment.
  • Attention to detail when assessing technical activities and/or reviewing technical documentation (vendor release notes, vendor installation, administration guides, system architecture, system configuration specifications, detailed design specifications etc.).
  • Experience in authoring and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Structured testing experience in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to identify and address technical issues/problems that may be encountered during the project and the ability to assist the project team in the resolution of these project issues.
  • Propose technical solutions to issues and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Maintain a proactive attitude and behavior.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and work independently.
  • Interface directly with the business users, management level IT clients, software vendors and other service providers.
  • Strong communication skills are a must.
  • Professional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Time and resource management skills.
  • Integrity, personal drive and enthusiasm which motivates people and inspires the highest.

Required Skills:
  • At least 2+ years in technical management, experience working with vendors and multiple streams, understanding of system architecture and integrations.
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five years of experience in technology management.
  • Experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical Industry or similar, regulated industry required.
  • Proven experience with managing technical infrastructure projects (examples: platform, database, and software components).
  • Experience with Service Now or similar tracking/management tools strongly desired.

This 6+ month position starts ASAP.
