Project Description:
This position is primarily responsible for ingredient program activities related to documentation for products manufactured in the US. Responsibilities include technical documentation, processes, and gathering data on assignments/projects that are moderately complex.
  • Proficiency in related software tools and databases such as Optiva and SAP and their related business processes is required.
  • Performs a variety of duties requiring the application of technical knowledge using established processes & protocols.
  • Responsibilities include the creation, update & coordination of survey documents from suppliers which are comprised of regulatory, nutritional and other technical parameters for ingredients.
  • The Technical Documentation Specialist requires proficiency in locating, managing and manipulating data from multiple sources & systems, data analysis and interpretation, and creation of concise and accurate documents.
  • Employee must perform a variety of duties requiring the application of technical knowledge using established processes or protocols.
  • Employee must be able to effectively and independently plan and prioritize work in a fast-paces environment to meet required due dates and review progress against plans with supervisor on a regular basis.
  • The Technical Documentation Specialist requires the ability to communicate effectively with requestors from multiple businesses and outside suppliers.
  • Request technical information from Campbell ingredient suppliers.
  • Update formula management system with acquired information, verify completeness of documentation, including all certifications, such as USDA approval, Organic certification and gluten content.
  • Seek input on questions from suppliers during project initiation process from Ingredient Analysts or Regulatory Analysts as needed to assure completion of all documentation requirements.
  • Upload information to shared databases, such as SharePoint, for review by other internal functions.
  • Leverage technical knowledge and work with subject matter experts as needed to compile technically accurate documentation for each new and updated ingredient per guidance from Manager of Ingredient Management Program.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation and archiving discontinued or obsolete information in the event of a regulatory inquiry.
  • Proficient in working with multiple systems and data from other sources to generate detailed and accurate records for ingredients used in the US and Canada.
  • Proactively sets up and maintains information in Ingredient Document library, posting new documents as they are completed and removing old documents as they expire.
  • Use judgement to determine when technical issues can be resolved independently versus requiring analyst assistance. Is familiar with expected results of data queries and product composition so that errors are apparent when they occur.
  • The Technical Documentation Specialist works within business processes across R&D, Quality and Supply Chain functions, which are located across North America handling a wide range of product, system, and regulatory ingredient documentation.
  • The Technical Documentation Specialist identifies issues and improvement opportunities by engaging the right leader(s) to initiate continuous improvement projects, achieving engagement and alignment with process stakeholders.
  • Ability to interact with ingredient suppliers and internal partners in a professional manner.
  • Competence handling highly confidential information.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum: HS Diploma and 5 or fewer years in a food or pharmaceutical research or quality-related function.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat Writer a plus.
  • Familiarity with formula and data management software such as Optiva, SAP, SharePoint and cloud-based applications (additional training to be provided, if necessary).
  • Experience with cross-functional business processes.
  • Strong analytical skills, good attention to detail and demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently on assignments with proven decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize own day-to-day work.
  • Ability to manage multiple, distinctive work activities.

This 12+ month position starts ASAP.
