Business System Analyst

A key requirement and must have:   Should be familiar with different aspects of creating solution documents and diagrams such as sequence diagrams, the interaction between IT entities, and share with stakeholders 

  

Responsibilities  

  • Understand the requirements from the business (product owner) and convert them into technical terms for the development team 
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats 
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing SRS, SDS, Flows. 
  • Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures/use case 
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; considering the project team's bandwidth and abilities 
  • Monitor project progress by mapping requirements with the test cases along with use cases implemented by the development team. 
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed 
  • Validate resource requirements and circulate the required technology stack knowledge across functional teams 
  • Conduct and coordinate with business planning within the various departments and programs of the client group 
  • Interpret, evaluate and interrelate requirements and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making 
  • Perform walkthrough sessions with the dev team as and when needed 
  • Review a variety of areas including designing, operations, distribution, and post-production 
  • Understand and communicate the operational impact of any changes 
  • Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes 
  • Create an informative, actionable knowledge-base that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement 
  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues 
  • Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability   
  • Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration, and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations 

  

Preferred skills 

  • Should be familiar with different aspects of creating solution documents and diagrams such as sequence diagrams, the interaction between IT entities, and share with stakeholders 
  • Should have experience in developing applications apart from requirement analysis skillset 
  • Should have sound knowledge of how API works and the integration endpoints 
  • Should be familiar with Home Phone or Tv Subscription order management 
  • Rogers systems like Maestro, V21 super systems will be added advantage 
  • Basic knowledge of backend, middleware, and front end functioning 
  • Practical experience generating process documentation and reports 
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights 
  • Knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio 
  • Proven capabilities in project and user-testing management 
  • Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions 
  • Extensive experience with data visualization 
  • Highly proficient technical writing capabilities 
  • Knowledge of the BSS domain would be added advantage
