Network Security Engineer

Main Responsibilities:-
  • Responsible for the day to day operations
  • Perform regular health checks and audits to proactively isolate or resolve potential issues, also recommend and Initiate performance improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze and resolve escalated problems. Also act as a mentor for the support staff in aligning their technology and non-technology skills to best suited environment being supported.
  • Implementing, administer and supported approved Web Application Firewall policies
  • Upgrading firmware for LTM/GTM and SSL certificate management
  • Configuring HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/SSL/TCP/UDP profiles and NAT/SNAT
  • Creating/configuring virtual server, hosts or pool members
  • Creating iRules scripts and applying to Servers
  • Assess WAF policies, architecture & provide recommendations for improvements
  • Web Application Firewall patch / version upgrade implementation
  • System break-fix – Hardware and software
Desired Skills and Experience
Technical / professional qualifications:
Should have worked for at least 5+ years as a Network Security Administrator supporting critical production systems that has 24 X 7 uptime requirements and should be very proficient in all security administration tasks.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
  • TM/GTM - F5 Load balancers, F5 APM and ASM management services
  • Expert in configuring and troubleshooting of F5 LTM/GTM/APM (access policy manager)/ASM (application security manager)/ARM (advanced routing module) and WAF (web application firewall) Management services under short time constraints involving complex network in enterprise environment
  • Experience of working in an Operational environment alongside other technical and operational teams, ensuring that all parties collaborate effectively to deliver services.
  • Experience of High availability and Load balancing algorithms configuration
  • Health and performance monitors and reporting
  • Advanced acceleration techniques (TCP optimization, HTTP keep lives, caching, compression, and pipelining)
  • Experience using network management tools and packet captures to resolve operational issues
  • Solid understanding of routing and switching
  • Understand general disaster recovery and business continuity practices

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to translate IT technical language into everyday terms which users can understand, specifically non-technical senior management
  • Ability to interact with customers so as to ensure that the service is flexible, efficient and responsive
  • To work through issues analytically to a successful conclusion
  • Demonstrable results in a business customer facing role, with a track record of delivering services to defined service levels.
  • Experience of working in an Operational environment alongside other technical and operational teams, ensuring that all parties collaborate effectively to deliver services.
  • Use of ITIL service management framework to deliver best practice capabilities for TNT.
  • Proven ability to deliver improvements that deliver greater value to the customer and business through more efficient delivery and/or lower costs.
