Job Title:Contract Analyst

Behavior: Interacts with providers across the state of NJ through emails, phone conversations and meetings to comply with the Fiscal Units policies, procedures and caseload work in a professional manner. Acts as a team player for the Contract Unit.

Job description:
  • Compile data and prepare regular or special financial records or reports. Reviews and approves contracts for renewal, modification and reports of expenditure for contract close-out.
  • Prepare financial documents for management approval to be posted to the general ledger and the state treasury. Assist with fiscal year end activities, including reconciling accounts and adjustments to contract ceilings, analysis and posting of expenditure and revenue accruals, and their reversals.
  • Perform complex accounting tasks that post and reconcile all aspects of contract activity to the funding for the budget.
  • Prepares and reviews monthly detailed cash expenditure reports for general activity.
  • Monitoring and verifying accounting information; interpreting regulations and policies related to the area of assignment.
  • Reviewing and processing electronic transactions such as accounts receivable and payable, contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and/or grants.
  • Analyzing management information; identifying issues and discrepancies; formulating recommendations based on findings.
  • Participating in the annual budgeting process
