Job Description/Skills:
Candidate will maintain and service critical on-site hardware, storage and network platforms in a 24/7 shift worker environment at a customer site in Aurora CO. Successful candidate will be required to travel TDY to remote customer site in Harrogate England at least 50% of the time.
Candidate will be required to work a rotating shift. Candidate will provide Tier 2 and 3, on-site hardware and firmware technical support services. Candidate will troubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals. Work includes installation, moves, removal and sanitization of monitors, workstations, printers, servers, storage devices and network devices. Candidate will provide more complex support for IT solutions software and hardware service request/incident processing for end user issues that are not resolved at initial response support level according to established procedures. Candidate will be able to execute instructions provided by remote support organizations. This support includes the detailed tracking of incident/service request from receipt through closure using a COTS Ticket Tracking System, including consumption of spare parts used in problem fixes. Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques. Must be self-motivated and have a capacity to determine the correct course of action on their own; as well as work through issues with minimal help from others. Candidate participates in special projects as required.
Travel expenses are provided for overseas trips to the Harrogate England.
·         Current SSBI with adjudicated CI polygraph and the ability to maintain the same.
·         Current DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
·         Must be able to lift heavy materials (50+ pounds).
·         Minimum 3 years' experience.
·         Associate's degree or vocational certificate, experience considered in lieu of degree.
·         Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
·         Good communication skills; shows tact; effective listening skills and follow through.
·         Proficient Field Technical Support skill set.
·         Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work.
·         Knowledge of high availability system environments.
·         Basic knowledge of change management process.
·         Participate in on-site account support meetings both internal and external.
