The position would be typical office hours (8am-4:30pm) 

POSITION SUMMARY:
Receives and processes customer inquiries and orders.  Prepares related orders and shipping paperwork.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires education level equivalent to high school, plus knowledge of Wordperfect, Word, Excel, Access, working in a Windows environment, and other general computer skills.  Requires approximately six months to one year job training to achieve accuracy and proficiency.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Operates general office equipment.  May require attending outside courses and training seminars.  May require some travel with sales or others on a limited basis.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal:   All Departments
External:  Customers, Sales Representatives and Agents, transportation and forwarding companies

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.     Answers Customer Service phones and maintains good will of customers.

2.    Provides information about products and pricing to customers.

3.    Receives and processes customer orders.

4.    Receives and processes customer consignment usages.

5.    Processes and sends customer invoices and Sales Reps. copies.

6.    Prepares shipping documents.

7.    Processes freight bills related to customer orders and bills back appropriate charges.

8.    Prepares daily sales dollars and backlog information when required.

9.    Prepares and maintains monthly reports.

10.    Maintains file system of all department paperwork.

11.    Prepares daily shipping pick lists, when needed, and schedules shipping carriers to pick-up.     

12.    Performs other related duties as assigned.
