HYDRAULIC TECHNICIAN

Parsons is seeking a Hydraulic Technician with high-quality standards who is a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Skills:
The candidate must have knowledge and experience reading and interpreting functional hydraulic drawings, along with experiential knowledge of solenoid valves, flow meters, and associated hydraulic control components. The ability to identify obsolete parts in a Bill of Materials, experience bending/flaring hydraulic tubbing and assembling complex hydraulic systems, and integrating hydraulic motors, valves, and cylinders is required.

The candidate must possess a solid comprehension of mechanical specifications, assembly drawings, worksheets, service and parts literature, test specification, technical bulletins and related publications. Working knowledge of hand tools, air tools, measuring tools, and diagnostic software required. The candidate will be able to communicate thoughts and ideas in both verbal and written form, be proficient in the use of computers, and possess the ability to learn and effectively use company software (with training). The candidate will complete all tasking and follow up with management as required in a timely and orderly manner.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school ideal
• Must have 2+ years of hydraulic or mechanical systems experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical data and drawings
• Secret clearance desired but not required
