Description Experienced IP/Network Engineer
Experienced IP/Network Engineer whose function is within the Infrastructure team that supports the Courts communications and core, wireless and backbone network, provides operational design consultation in the engineering process, infrastructure life cycle deployments and operational escalation support for the network. Engineers and designs reliability, performance, scalability, quality, and availability of the core, wireless and backbone network.

The primary focus of this position is around core and backbone design projects, deployments and service reliability and integration.

Responsibilities
Architect, document, deploy and maintain network infrastructure in support of service provider operations for customers requiring high uptime, and rapid disaster recovery.
Develop and migrate an Inter-vlan routed network into an MPLS based network. Document, deploy and maintain a Layer 2 and Layer 3 dynamically routed, highly available and fault tolerant network.
Implementation of wireless networking utilizing Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers
Implement, upgrade and monitor various wireless network devices/software/services
Implement, upgrade and monitor network intelligence tools like visibility switches, netflow, and packet capture
Collaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure that the network stays operational Provide support for company routing, switching, WAN, WLAN and firewall systems
Leads reconfiguration efforts of Fortigate Palo Alto Networks Firewalls
Performs Gap Analysis of Network sites for the organization
Create and update network documentation using Visio and MS Word
Perform proactive maintenance on the network, work on task based and project based assignments

Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience required in related field
Experience implementing ASN and public IP space in a Multihome Multi Provider ISP
Expert in networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, QoS, Multicast, MPLS (LDP, RSVP, CSPF, TE, P2MP, CBF, DMVPN, Auto-bandwidth, etc)
Expert in High Availability protocols such as BFD, Graceful Restart, Non-Stop Forwarding, VRRP, and MPLS FRR.
Extensive knowledge and operational experience of IP data L2/L3 switching architectures and technology
Extensive knowledge and operational experience in IP Switching and Routing Architectures
Extensive knowledge and operational experience in performance, fault, and configuration management
Must have extensive knowledge and operational experience on all or most of these platforms Cisco Platforms Catalyst, ASR, Nexus
Experience with production changes in a backbone core routing environment
Experience with testing traffic flows and protocols in a lab environment
Experience with physical technology upgrades (upgrading chassis, line cards, various FRUs, etc.)
Experience with Automation/Orchestration and scripting experience.
Must be able to work in a wide variety of circumstances and multitask: examples include having a flexible schedule, write various detailed documents, perform tasks and projects in both a team and solo environment, effective written and verbal communication skills, meet and manage timelines, etc.
Must be able to take on large and/or complex design and operational tasks
Experience with some of the following types of tools is preferred: Performance monitoring, Protocol Analyzer, Modeling, Traffic simulation, SNMP trapping/polling
Industry Recognized Advanced Networking Certification such as CCNP

Preferred:
Experience with Linux or operating systems and servers a plus
Experience with Fortigate and/or Palo Alto Networks
