Sr. Certified Scrum Master to service our client "Zume Pizza " in Mt. View.
Narrative: Primary daily duties will be typical Scrum Master role for two Scrum teams. However, this is a consulting role. As such there will be consulting goals beyond successful efforts for the two Scrum teams.
Required Experience
  • Broad, long work history valuing roles that required exceptional skills in organization, time management, and influencing people in addition to Agile specific roles.
  • Worked as a Scrum Master or hybrid Project Manager/Scrum Master in 3 or more companies (>6 months each)
  • Agile knowledge beyond Scrum & Kanban such as SAFe, LeSS, DAD, XP, Lean, Crystal, DevOps, etc.
  • Ability to manage occasional C-Level interactions
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented
  • Certifications: CSM or equivalent and at least 1 other industry accepted certification related to Agile (Not including PMP/PMI)
Preferred experience
  • Experience or certification with at least 1 scaling framework such as SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), Scrum @ Scale, or LeSS (Large-Scale Scrum)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and/or DevOps
Scrum Master focus with teams:
  • Expert-level knowledge of Scrum ceremony execution & facilitation
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies but only own the Retrospective
  • Foster best practices to develop the teams' maturity to self-manage
  • Drive the culture toward combined Agile Values, Agile Manifesto, and client company's values
  • Always proceed with a "Nudge, not yank” approach valuing incremental progress over disruptive, change management leaps
  • Identify workflow & process pain points
  • Partner with Leadership to improve workflow & resolve pain points
  • Skilled in advance planning above the team level which include Story Mapping, Sprint Release Planning, and SAFe's Program Increment Planning methods or LeSS two-part Sprint Planning
Role's Consulting Focus
  • Maintain continuous updates with MATRIX Delivery Lead
  • Take direction from MATRIX Delivery Lead related to interactions with teams and Client Leadership
  • Seize every opportunity to add value from Client's perspective surrounding impact of a Scrum Master
  • Drive Agile culture & Client culture by example and as a Sensei in every interaction:
    • Define & promote Purpose & Meaning of the team's work ?
    • Demonstrate, foster, or improve the team's Trust in Leadership ?
    • Provide Support (over directive management) ?
    • Enable your role (or your teams) to increase Control & Autonomy ?
    • Help the team with personal/professional Development & Growth ?
  • Convince the client that the Scrum Master role delivers value
