JOB CODE TITLE: Learning Consultant – Technology/Financial

JOB CODE DESCRIPTION:
TPM: Manages the development and implementation of learning programs requiring technical experience &/or education in the cable or telecom industry (Engineering/Operations) to meet business training curriculum, process initiatives, process improvement, product launches, other strategies and objectives. Creates financial models and reports to help manage group budgets
Analyzes existing project management methods to promote effective training through standardization, improvement, simplification, discontinuance, or other methods. Conducts risk assessments, maintains a series of key training project milestones, facilitates communication across operational groups, and ensures compliance with the defined project. Uses Microsoft Excel to track cost to meet business requirements

1-Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet needs of customers
2-Initiates, plans, executes, and controls project efforts that utilize learning solutions
3 – Build social communities to foster sharing of learning among peers
4-Develops and executes management plans for time, cost, scope, quality, communications, risk, human resources, procurement and integration
5-Translates project requirements into learning objectives and tasks. Producing a detailed scope document.
6-Reports on project progress throughout the project lifecycle, updating stakeholders, and training leadership.
7-Identifies and gains allocation of project team resources; obtains business sponsor approvals; and coordinates the resources necessary to successfully complete the project
8-Communicates major milestones and identifies potential project risks; conducts regular status meetings to review project activities; manages prioritization procedures
9-Sets and manages client expectations, managing and escalating issues and changes
10-Measures progress toward goals and revises project objectives; documents applying change control procedures
11-Evaluates the impacts and risks of changes from multiple perspectives, assigns tasks that are necessary to reduce or eliminate those considerations, determines tentative implementation dates, and tracks results of the implementation
12-Develops methods to measure customer satisfaction; obtains feedback at critical milestones and at project completion to ensure that project efforts meeting customer expectations for time, cost, and results
13-Anticipates and identifies tasks required to support change processing including performing change impact analysis, assigning tasks to project team members, verbally communicating complex issues, verifying that tasks are completed, and communicating implementation status
14-Takes responsibility for changes to the training content to ensure that changes to the environment have been properly analyzed and adequately coordinated and do not adversely impact the company's ability to meet the published training content

Typical Training / Experience - Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline; some disciplines may only require Associates degree OR 3 to 5 years experience in as a Supervisor. Certification is required in some areas. Cable and Telecom project experience a plus. Experience in Engineering and Operation is also plus. High-to-expert level experience with Excel. High level experience with MS Office 365 suite, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, One Note, One Drive, Yammer, SharePoint, HTML, CSS. Experience with technical/business consulting, technical writing and business analysis preferred. Experience with Tableau a plus.
Influence/People Leadership - Primary input to hiring, performance, and rewards decisions for a group of service, production, or support employees, perhaps assisted by subordinate team leaders or senior individual contributor employees; Primary contribution is supervising other people (rather than applying knowledge); Supervises support, production, and/or lower level professional individual contributor employees; Schedules work for optimum efficiency and productivity; Provides day-to-day work direction; Schedules and approves vacation and overtime; May be a project or process manager without direct reports responsible for influencing and coordinating with non-reporting resources
Span Of Control/Complexity - Activities are relatively homogenous; generally only one shift or area is supervised by incumbents at this level

Financial - Contributes to development of an operating plan, budget, and performance goals (revenue and/or expense) for the work group(s) managed and the department of which it is a part. May manage elements/portions of a budget
Consequence Of Error - Actions at this level can cause or prevent delays, inefficiencies, or unnecessary expenses and affect the efficiency and effectiveness of the people managed
Typical Problems Solved – Managing multiple project with a limit set of resources and funding. Attention to details a must.

Core Functions -

Technical/Admin Work Performed - May spend up to 20% % of time maintaining records such as student rosters, training requests, and ensuring personnel attend the scheduled training.


Requirements:
Need someone who is proficient in building Social communities via mobile communications.
Drive the community to engage in the mobile application side of the business.
Create buzz to drive traffic in the Mobile application as well as other necessary applications using social media tool.

- Experience in tracking budgets and reporting them via spreadsheet or dashboards in Excel. Tableau a plus
