Required skill set – 10yrs of veteran

The Welder & Machinist - will work at the West Chester OH Tool Center to service and manufacture large scale, power generation equipment along with their subassemblies by following blueprints and specific work instructions. Also, prepare, join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques.

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. No relocation.

  • Work in a shop environment safely with zero accidents and/or injuries
  • Set-up and operate machine Tools
  • Set up and safely use various inspection tools and gages (i.e. inner diameter (I/D) & outer diameter (O/D) Mics, calipers, Pi-tape, bore gages, Tri-mics, thread gages, etc...)
  • Machine to required tolerances of .001” - .005”
  • Determine machining feeds and speeds and tool selections
  • Read and interpret Engineered Blue Print drawings, work from sketches, prints, operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and written/verbal instructions
  • Weld all types of commonly used metals and alloys of various sizes, shapes, and thicknesses, including dissimilar metals such as copper to steel
  • Operate various hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products
  • Use hand welding and flame cutting equipment such as arc welders, gas welders, and gas torches to weld together metal components (flat, horizontal, or vertical plates and pipes)
  • Set up and operates all welding equipment. May set up, operate, and/or tend to robots that weld, braze, solder, or heat treat metal products, components, or assemblies. Must maintain welding specifications. Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness
  • Understand and apply geometric tolerances
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years Welding & Machining experience
  • May be required frequently lift, move, and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to walk/stand upright for periods of up to 12 hours and occasionally ascends/descends ladders up to 30 feet and stairs up to 6 stories.
  • Work for extended periods, including weekends and holidays, is also required.
  • May be required to work in extreme weather conditions (heat and cold) for extended periods of time.
