Technician II – Materials and Process

Location: Westminster, Colorado
  • Take design concepts and implement them to product.
  • Read and interpret design drawings, schematics, and statements of work.
  • Implement operations define on production control documentation
  • Produce product to meet specifications, drawings and performance requirements.
  • Work with machinery, equipment chemicals in a safe manner within a laboratory or manufacturing setting
  • As opportunity arises, potential to learn other skills necessary to operate in other areas of the department
  • Daily work effort is in support of existing test procedures and assist in development of new test protocols.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, and internal customers this person will be dealing
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
What You'll Need
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 or more years of related experience, or a two-year technical degree with 2 or more years.
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Mechanical and electronics aptitude and demonstrable skills.
  • Hands-on experience in assembly and fabrication environment.
  • Ability to move product through fabrication operations and between process steps.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and execute technical process specifications, procedures, work instructions or travelers.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Preferred skills include lamination processing, packaging/handling experience with delicate substrates, CAD/CAM experience, hands-on CNC experience.
  • Continuous improvement suggestions and participate in initiatives to improve productivity and process efficiency.
  • General MS-Office skills, Excel and Powerpoint.
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in an office, clean room, or production environment.
  • Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
Successful applicant for this position must be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance. A current DoD clearance is not required to be eligible for this position, however the successful applicant will be required to obtain a DoD clearance within a reasonable time after the offer is extended and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance. * US Citizenship is Required
