Job Description: Aircraft Mechanic II –Structural This mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate to very complex in difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation, and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as; blueprints or manufactures' manuals. The mechanic will be required to access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests. Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair, must have basic knowledge of electrical theory, must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers. Must be able to fabricate repair parts and understand the concepts of hand fabrication of sheet metal. The mechanic should also have working knowledge of Permaswage and Hydraulic Line Fabrication experience. Must be willing to work in a fuel cell (as required).
Education and/or Training Requirements:
This job requires working knowledge of technical publications. The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects. Work from information such as schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures, Must have basic computer skills, including aircraft-related systems and basic office software packages.
Experience Required: 
Position requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in those duties as previously described for satisfactory performance. The ideal candidate will have 10+
Military aircraft (Heavy or Fighter) modification and overhaul experience is required.
Must be able to Read, Interpret, Understand, and Execute to military T.O.'s, IPB's, and SRM's.
Occupation or Operation Requirement:
Perform moderately to very complex work (predominately emergent, fast paced, high-demand, and on flight critical aircraft) where specific or general operation methods are available. Judgment to make some intermediate level decisions, Responsible for the proper performance of assignments and the prudent handling of product, tools and equipment. Will be required to work with the guidance of engineering and other senior skilled employees and assist less senior employees. Perform all duties of lower Structural classifications as required to successfully accomplish assignments. Must be able to work in confined spaces, extreme temperatures, outdoors, from heights, around explosives, and lift up to 35lbs unassisted. 
Other Job Related Requirements:
**The ideal candidate will already possess a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance**
This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A minimum of an "Interim Clearance" must be obtained within 90 days of start date. 
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.

Education / Experience: High School Diploma or GED
