Job Description: • Lead Technician required with current active U. S. Secret Security Clearance
• Leads the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by overseeing the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. 
• Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. 
• Configures aerospace vehicles, ground support and bench test equipment. 
• Directs troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. 
• Oversees validation/verification testing of systems and components.
• Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). 
• Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Leads and supervises others to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations). 
• Provides training and mentors others. 
• At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation. 
• Must be knowledgeable in planning & leading all aspects of aircraft maintenance, modification and repair to include skill and experience in either Electrical and Avionics or Airframes system disciplines. 
• Candidate must have knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and environment processes (FOD control, tool control, health & safety)
• Previous team leadership experience required 
• Position will be first, second or third shift; be cross utilized to perform servicing and team member activities; travel to support remote maintenance activities, and/or modification of forward deployed aircraft. 
• Must have experience in operating and repairing integrated air vehicle electrical and mechanical control systems, aircraft engines, auxiliary power units and alternate mission equipment, and accomplishing metallic and composite structural repairs. 
• Familiar with both USAF (US Air Force) Technical Orders, G081 maintenance data base, and able to interpret system schematic diagrams to isolate mechanical faults and repair faulty components. 
• Work may require responding during off-hours and weekends.
• Work under minimal direction.
Per Diem is offered if candidate lives outside 75 mile radius and maintains two households.
Education / Experience: High school diploma or GED and typically 7 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Travel Comments: Candidate must be willing to travel / relocate at a moment's notice due to operational needs / Assignment will most likely be relocated to other US location.
