MIT Lincoln Laboratory develops technologies, systems and software to support the Nation's cyber forces. The thrust is towards advanced command and control, situational awareness, analytic and "big data” capabilities for warfighters and intelligence analysts. Ideas developed through analysis or systems interconnection are often reduced to practice in the form of a prototype that is implemented in custom-developed software and tested in laboratory or operational environments. We seek software developers capable of conceiving, designing, developing, testing and integrating the software portions of these programs. We are seeking to fill 2 vacant positions

Position Scope/Job Functions

Candidates will be developing code in a team environment for rapid introduction into operations or field activities .

Skills: Required :

Candidate must have s Knowledge requirements: Strong Java knowledge demonstrated in a professional environment required
Strong documentation and configuration management experience (GitHub and Maven specifically) are required
Database technologies are required; Professional experience with relational database systems and modern big data key-value stores is required
Knowledge of service-oriented-architecture protocols required, having demonstrated them in a professional environment is a plus.
Knowledge of modern software design practices required
Software or systems test experience required

Skills: Preferred :

Experience with Python, C++, and JavaScript desired but not required
Experience with development in an IC ITE is a plus.
Knowledge of real-time systems a plus but not required
Professional experience with agile software development practices is a strong plus

Education/Professional Certifications

MS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or Engineering. 8+ years post-education experience in the design and development of software in an object-oriented environment.
